• 5 pieces of 6 x 3 inch quilting cotton
• a 5 inch by 10 inch piece of cream coloured muslin, burlap, or cream coloured cotton solid
• some poly-fill
• coordinating sewing thread and some thicker thread, e.g. basting thread
• sewing machine, scissors, pins or sewing clips
• Standard sewing kit
